Enrollment Steps

Submit the Application for Admission. It's free, and it only takes about 15 minutes to complete.

To get started you'll need:

  • Visit the User Account Center to setup your account.
  • Once you’ve activated your User Account, log into your Student Self Service. Click on the “Tasks” tile and complete the Student Financial Agreement Task.
    • This task MUST be completed before you may meet with an advisor and enroll in courses.

If you are a first time freshman, you can order your high school transcript at parchment.com or your GED transcripts at request.ged.ky.gov. Don’t forget to send transcripts for all previously attended non-KCTCS colleges, for example, any dual credit classes you may have taken in high school.  Home school transcripts must be notarized and can be mailed to the below address.

For all other student types, please review the admissions guidelines at https://bluegrass.kctcs.edu/admissions/admissions-guidelines.aspx.

In order to accommodate prospective students who cannot take a placement test, BCTC will use a cumulative high school GPA. High school GPA placement is based on the unweighted cumulative GPA recorded at the end of the most recent term completed.

If you have not met the high school GPA requirement, you may need to submit additional test scores.

Explore financial aid. Our generous scholarships, grants and loans make a great education even more affordable.

Once you have been admitted to the college, you will receive an acceptance email.  That email will provide you with a link to sign up for an advising appointment and information on scheduling Freshman Orientation if applicable.

Bills are no longer mailed. Billing information is communicated via email and your student account at: https://students.kctcs.edu. Though BCTC has payment deadlines (see BCTC Academic Calendar), tuition and fees are considered due the Friday before classes start.
