The Surgical Technology Program offers two academic pathways, one pathway being the Associates in Applied Science, also known as the AAS degree. The other option is the Diploma pathway.
The difference between the two pathways can be found in the pre-requisites required and the transferability of the pre-requisites courses. Regardless of the pathway once you have been selected via the selective admission process the program will last approximately 11 months. Starting in August of one year and completing in June of the next year. So the program will consist of a Fall semester, Spring semester and a 3 week summer semester.
The curriculum link will show the course required and recommended to be completed with a grade “C” or better in order to be eligible for selection into the Surgical Technology Program. The course listed on the curriculum with the prefix “SUR” are the program course that will be taken after you are selected.
