Education & Training on the Fast Track.
In the Accelerating Opportunity Kentucky (AOKY) initiative, basic skills needed to earn a GED credential are taught in a required adult education class that is taken each semester to develop college ready skills in reading, language, writing and mathematics to support the technical classes. The technical programs in the five different pathways lead to stackable college certificates and promote more options for employment. Ability to Benefit funding is available to AOKY students who qualify.
While you're working with your instructors, you'll also be working with a Career Coach from the Kentucky Career Center, who will help you with your job search, including resume preparation, job applications, and job leads – all at no cost to you.
