Although the degree title is "Electrical Technology," the more popular title is "Electrician."
If your desire is to become a professional electrician, this program is for you. We offer three degreed programs focused on three major areas in electrical wiring and construction. This program adds the National Electrical Code, rotating machines, and motor controls to the program core, and students take focused courses to complete each program. The three areas of specialization are: Industrial Electrician, Construction Electrician, and Motor Control Electrician.
This is a link to a set of videos about the programs offered in our division. Keep in mind they are a few years old so some of the information may be a little off or just incorrect. It is still a good introduction to what types of jobs are out there and what the classes prepare you for.
