Development

Overview

Resource Development provides institutional leadership in the development, implementation and effectiveness of a college-wide, comprehensive resource development program. The resource development program includes federal and foundation grants, private gifts and special events. Resource Development also provides staff support for the Bluegrass Community and Technical College Foundation, Inc, a separate, independent non-profit foundation.

Missions

Resource Development - To develop resources and relationships that benefit current and future students of Bluegrass Community and Technical College.

BCTC Foundation - To support the mission of the Bluegrass Community and Technical College by stimulating voluntary financial support.

Operations

Development

Development staff identifies and cultivates prospective donors, manages and participates in the solicitation of donors, enlists community volunteers, receives gifts and ensures proper recording and stewardship of gifts. Development staff also manages the effective stewardship of private gifts working closely with the College’s Business Office and the KCTCS’ Development Office.
