BCTC librarians provide instruction in various ways to help students learn about using library resources for research.
A number of BCTC LibGuides, Subject Guides, and How Do I ? Guides are available for students to learn information literacy skills of how to formulate research strategies and use various library resources.
If instructors would like their students to have a library tour, an audio taped tour is available for checkout at the Circulation Desk. This tour takes approximately 15 minutes and is accompanied by a question form to be filled out by the student. It is then graded and can be turned in to the instructor.
An online Library Research Guide is also located on our website. This guide provides assistance for searching various types of resource items.
Due to current staffing levels, opportunities for face-to-face classroom instruction sessions may be limited and alternative methods may be used, such as Skype or video sessions. Please contact the library for more information.
