Bluegrass Community & Technical College employees exceeded the college's fundrasing goal of $5,000 to the United Way of the Bluegrass by more than $2,000 in 2011. The gift of donations and pledges to the United Way totaled $7,237.
This year's campaign focused on increasing participation at BCTC campuses by using fun events to raise awareness of the United Way’s annual giving campaign. The BCTC Leadership Academy, campus directors and others pitched in to organize fun events, including a pumpkin carving contest and a chili cook-off, to ensure that the campaign was a success.
“Together we are accomplishing amazing things . . . one student at a time, one community at a time,” said BCTC President Dr. Augusta A. Julian.
BCTC is proud to support the United Way of the Bluegrass, a leader and motivator of change for long-term solutions for our community.
