The public is invited to the Bluegrass Community and Technical College spring art exhibit, “Faces and Places,” which will feature artwork from students, faculty, staff and community.
Middle and high school students will compete in the 2010 Lexington Regional Science Olympiad being held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 6 at the Cooper Campus of Bluegrass Community and Technical College, 470 Cooper Drive, Lexington.
The Bluegrass Community and Technical College Board of Directors will meet Wednesday, March 3, at 6 p.m., in the President’s Board Room, Leestown Campus, 164 Opportunity Way, Lexington.
Bluegrass Community and Technical College will honor a state agency and a Lexington middle school employee for their work of building and embracing diversity in the state and in the local community.
As part of Black History Month, Bluegrass Community and Technical College will host two performances of “Experience the Spirit,” a presentation by Michael E. Crutcher, Sr. reenacting the life of Frederick Douglass, an anti-slavery leader in the 1800s.
