Observation of the profession is an important factor when deciding on a career path. For the Radiography Program, the observation is a mandatory criteria for the application process. For Bluegrass Community and Technical College the observation can be done in one of two ways:
A 4 hour observation can be done at any hospital. This allows you to see a Radiography Department in person and experience the hospital atmosphere. You will need to make your own arrangements for this observation. Contact the clinic site of your choice and speak to the supervisor of the Radiography Department. The Radiographer will complete the attached form and you must submit this with the completed application documents. Radiography Observation Work Experience Form
On reserve in the LRC at the Cooper, Leestown, Lawerenceburg, Winchester, and Danville Campuses is a DVD that covers all observation points for the student. After viewing the DVD, you must answer a series of questions and include this document with the completed application documents.
