Get Involved

Staff Council membership is comprised of all Staff of Bluegrass Community & Technical College. A variety of ways exist to serve the College community through Staff Council.

Executive Committee of Staff Council

Executive Committee consists of elected and appointed representatives from across the various campuses and organizational areas of the College. With the exception of the Chair and Vice-Chair, who serve for two years, ECSC representatives hold their posts for one fiscal year. The call for nominations and elections occur in the spring.

Events Committee

The Events Committee plans monthly Staff Appreciation events and the annual Spring Break Humanitarian Week, along with various other college-wide events. To volunteer with this committee or get more information, please contact the committee chair, Emily Keck.

Climate Committee

The Climate Committee is charged with examining the results of BCTC Workplace Climate surveys and exploring other climate related issues within the College. To volunteer with this committee or get more information, please contact the committee chair, Arlene Ross.

Depending on the year and the iniatives, goals, and current issues facing the College, additional, temproary sub-committees of Staff Council may be created. To put forward a proposal to consider the creation of additional sub-committees, please submit the proposal form.
