Electronic Resources

We provide access to many electronic resources for use by BCTC faculty, staff, and students. Our electronic resources are managed by Maureen Cropper, the Electronic Resources Librarian.  

Electronic Resources include:

• Full-text journal articles accessible through our online databases
• Full-text electronic books accessible through our electronic book databases

To access full-text electronic journal articles:

1. From our website, select a database to search, such as "Academic Search Premier."
2. If off-campus, enter your username/password when asked.
3. Be sure to check the box for "full-text" before doing your search.
4. Enter your search words and begin your search.
5. Once you have opened a full-text article from the search results, you can read it, save it, or print a copy of it for your educational research needs.

To access full-text electronic books:

1. From our website, select "Ebrary."
2. If off-campus, enter your username/password when asked.
3. Enter your search words and begin your search.
4. Once you have opened an electronic book, you can search it, read it, or print a page or two for your educational research needs. 
5. if you like, you also have the option to download in Ebrary. Most Ebrary e-books include two download options (page range or entire book). Both download options require you to create a free Ebrary user account. If downloading an entire Ebrary ebook onto your personal device for a fixed period of time, you also will need to install the free Adobe Digital Editions software on your home computer or device (see Ebrary site for more details).
