Bluegrass Community and Technical College and the BCTC Foundation recognized two outstanding BCTC benefactors for their generous philanthropic and voluntary support at the Kentucky Community and Technical College System’s (KCTCS) 12th annual President’s Gala and Benefactors’ Awards Dinner in November.

BCTC benefactors Joey and Tina Payne of Lexington, Ky., were recognized for their establishment of three scholarships for Fayette County students who may be the first in their family to go to college or have overcome barriers to pursue a higher education. The Paynes have helped students achieve their dreams of a better future through their generosity and are a valued partner in BCTC’s commitment to transforming lives in the Bluegrass.

The Scott County Fiscal Court of Georgetown, Ky. was also recognized for its commitment to work with BCTC to plan for an Advanced Manufacturing Center in Scott County. The Fiscal Court supported this important addition to higher education by securing 15 acres of land in the Lane’s Run Business Park near the Toyota Motor Manufacturing facility as a future site for the college. Judge George Lusby accepted the award on behalf of the Fiscal Court.

The BCTC Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises and manages funds for scholarships, program support, and campus development to support the mission of Bluegrass Community and Technical College.
