At the September meeting of Bluegrass Community and Technical College’s Board of Directors, three members were re-elected in various board officer positions:
Florence Huffman, an attorney in private practice in Lexington, was re-elected as chair. Huffman is co-owner and president of The Clark Group, publishers of the Kentucky Directory Gold Book, Clark's Almanac and Book of Facts. She is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University and is a member of the National Association for Women Business Owners, Lexington Chapter, and the Kentucky Bar Association.
Annissa Franklin, office manager for the Urban League of Lexington, was re-elected as vice chair. Franklin is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and is a member of Leadership Lexington, the Lyric Task Force, and the Lexington Urban League Young Professionals.
Robert E. “Bob” Rowland, retired Danville School Superintendent, was re-elected as board secretary. Rowland currently serves as a consultant for the Danville Board of Education and is a member of the Kentucky Association of School Superintendents and School Administrators. He is a graduate of Centre College and the University of Louisville.
The next board of directors meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, December 7, 2011.
