Grainger, a Fortune 500 company and leading distributor of industrial supplies, is committed to helping stem the growing shortage of skilled workers while supporting the increasing technical demands of today’s industrial workplace. Grainger has positioned itself as a strong national supporter of technical education, and the company recently started the Grainger Scholarship through the BCTC Foundation. Scott Ward from Grainger recently presented a check to BCTC President Dr. Augusta A. Julian. Grainger’s gift provided five $1,000 scholarships for students in the Manufacturing Industrial Technology Division this fall. Grainger’s other criteria in offering the scholarships is that students be enrolled full-time and remain in good standing with the college.
