Brent received a B.S. degree in Chemistry from Morehead State University and an M.S. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and a Ph.D. from the College of Educational Policy Studies and Evaluation at the University of Kentucky. He worked as a forensic chemist for the Kentucky State Police. Brent began teaching chemistry at Southeast Community College in 1993 before transferring to Bluegrass Community and Technical College in 1996.

Tracy earned a B.A. in chemistry from the University of Tennessee and a M.S. in environmental science from Indiana University at Bloomington. She worked as an environmental analytical chemist at Oak Ridge National Lab. She has also taught and worked at the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs. Tracy began teaching chemistry and environmental science at Bluegrass Community and Technical College in 2000.

Rae Ann received her B.S. in Biology from Murray State University. She began work with West Kentucky Community and Technical College in 1994 as an Instructional Specialist for the Biology, Chemistry, and Physics departments. After eleven years with WKCTC, she joined Bluegrass Community and Technical College as the Instructional Specialist for the Chemistry and Environmental Science Technology areas in September of 2005.
