Institutional Accreditation

A Bluegrass degree measures up to high standards.

Bluegrass Community and Technical College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award the associate degree. Contact the Commission on Colleges at 1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097 or call 404-679-4500 for questions about the accreditation of Bluegrass Community and Technical College.

Why is accreditation important?

Accreditation is important for two reasons. First, it assures BCTC students that they are receiving an education that meets the high standards of an independent organization.

Secondly, since BCTC is accredited to award associate degrees, a BCTC degree is automatically recognized and accepted by all public or private four-year colleges and universities in Kentucky.
