Bluegrass Community and Technical College provides a unique educational experience for students and lifelong learners across the Bluegrass. With its career-oriented technical curricula, transferable pre-baccalaureate curricula, economic and workforce development programs, and lifelong learning opportunities, BCTC plays a key role in Central Kentucky's academic and economic success. BCTC was created in 2005 as the result of the consolidation of Lexington Community College and Central Kentucky Technical College. The college is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. BCTC offers two-year associate degrees, diplomas and certificates. Our mission is to provide excellence in education and training at an affordable cost to anyone who has the desire to work toward success.
Through technology, innovation, and teaching excellence, we are committed to providing a total college experience for our students, both inside and outside the classroom. Classes at BCTC are small, on average about 24 students. Small classes help create more intimate learning environments where teachers and students can interact on a more personal level. This warm, caring approach of BCTC faculty and staff has earned the college a reputation as one of the friendliest places around. Whether you hope to pursue an associate degree, lay a foundation for a bachelor's degree, or simply try your hand at a new skill, BCTC can help make that dream come true!
