DACA is a policy that allows certain people who came to the United States as children and meet several key guidelines to request consideration of deferred action for a period of two years, subject to renewal, and would then be eligible for work authorization. Deferred action is a discretionary determination to defer removal action of an individual as an act of prosecutorial discretion and is temporarily issued for two years. It may be renewed.

Kentucky s Council for Post-Secondary Education Policy 13:KAR2:045 allows undocumented immigrants the opportunity to pay in-state tuition rates if the student GRADUATES from a Kentucky high school or completes their GED from a Kentucky Adult Basic Education site.

In partnership with the Kentucky Dream Coalition, BCTC Latino Outreach is a Dream Educational Empowerment Program partner with United We Dream. BCTC Latino Outreach Staff serve on the National Deep Leadership Team. DEEP is designed to address the barriers that undocumented immigrant youth face as they pursue higher education. DEEP builds strategically aligned collaborations between United We Dream affiliates, K-12 educators, community college and university representatives, and community-based organizations and leaders to create pipelines to higher education for undocumented youth. DEEP works with immigrant youth and their parents and teachers to improve educational access and outcomes for immigrant youth across the country through coaching, training, outreach programs and community collaborations.
