Guy Cornish

Inducted October 4, 2017

Guy Cornish began his studies as a non-traditional student at the former Lexington Technical Institute and Lexington Community College, completing all his classes while working full-time and earning two engineering degrees. He then transferred to Midway College where he received a Bachelor of Organizational Management.

During his 46 year career, he has worked in the engineering departments at three major companies in the Lexington area including Irvin Industries, Inc. Air Structures Division and Clark Material Handling. He is currently a Staff Engineer at Schneider Electric (Square D). He has been honored with numerous awards including the college’s Outstanding Alumnus of the Year award in 2004. As a member of the Alumni Association, he was a tireless supporter of the college. Mr. Cornish and his wife, Donna, enjoy traveling and spending time with their grandchildren ages 8–15. He is an avid genealogist and writes a newsletter that he emails to over 100 family members.
