The Degree

Information Management & Design has four tracks for you to choose from. Each track leads to a two-year Associate in Applied Science degree. If you are planning to get the two-year degree you will take a number of general education courses, IMD core courses, and courses for the track of your choice.

Core Requirements

The curriculum requires a certain number of core courses that every student takes. You'll take some general education courses in areas such as English and Science, and you'll also take some IMD core requirements such as Introduction to Desktop Publishing and Beginning Web Design.

AAS Tracks

You can choose at least one track to specialize in. The options to choose from include Graphic Design, Web Design, Video Game Design, and Library Information Technology. You will learn software programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and Microsoft Office Applications.


We also have certificate options available in Graphic Design, Web Design, Digital Video Editing, and Library Information Technology. Certificates consist of five or six specialized courses which work well if you are looking for certain software programs to focus on.
