UK Services for BCTC Students:

Eligible students can apply for housing through the University of Kentucky (UK). Students must be enrolled full-time (12 credit hours) per semester at one of the Lexington campuses (Cooper, Leestown, or Newtown) or the Winchester campus. Online classes do not count toward enrollment eligibility requirements.

BCTC students pay the standard housing and dining rates. Students living in housing are required to pay UK Student Fees in addition to BCTC student fees and also have a minimum dining plan. The dining facility, Bluegrass Cafe, is available on the Cooper campus in the Oswald Building. Bluegrass Cafe is open Monday through Friday during the Spring and Fall semesters for breakfast and lunch. A hot meal is prepared daily for breakfast and lunch and students may also choose among sandwiches, salads, and additional grab-and-go items.

The facility accepts UK Dining Plus Account funds. The Plus Account is an optional debit program for the students, faculty, and staff of the University of Kentucky and Bluegrass Community & Technical College. A Plus Account is automatically opened and accessed as a feature of your BCTC Student ID.

Students enrolled in 6-11 credit hours with a home campus of Cooper are eligible to purchase UK Student Services. Students enrolled in 12 or more credit hours with a home campus of Cooper are eligible to purchase the Athletics Fee. Online courses do not count toward eligibility requirements to purchase services.

Available student services include recreation services, athletic tickets, student activities, Student Center services, and student health, among others. If you live in UK Housing during the fall or spring term, you do not need to purchase any of the available services for that term through the UK eStore. These fees will automatically be assessed by UK Housing.

BCTC will pursue collection of all outstanding accounts pursuant to its business procedures.

Accounts that remain delinquent may be referred to outside agencies for collection and are subject to additional fees and costs.

BCTC makes every effort to include relevant, timely, and accurate information in its publications. However, BCTC reserves the right to make changes in its calendar, admissions policies, expenses, programs, curricula, course descriptions, or any other matters addressed or not addressed in this publication.
