The AA degree provide students with the opportunity to complete the first two years of a baccalaureate degree. Click here for the Associate in Arts Program Plan:
BCTC students who pursue the Associate in Arts program are permitted to select a Focus Area within a specific field of study. These focus areas permit students to earn the AA degree while concentrating their courses around an academic discipline. Students should discuss potential focus areas with their assigned academic advisor.
AA students who plan to transfer to a four-year university may select an Academic Pathway to identify the program or field that the student wishes to pursue upon transfer. Selecting an Academic Pathway enables students to be assigned an academic advisor with expertise in the student's transfer area. To update an Academic pathway, students may submit a Program Change Form to the Records Office. Indicate both the Program Plan (Associate in Arts) and the Pathway (for example, English, PENG).
The BCTC Transfer Center provides assistance to students transferring from BCTC to a four-year university.
