Intramural Sports

BCTC Intramural Sports are relatively a new and evolving component of the college. Students, faculty and staff, both male and female, have opportunities to participate in organized recreational sports in a fun and safe atmosphere. Currently BCTC offers basketball, flag football and soccer. Intramural Sports encourages student involvement, active and healthy lifestyles, and promotes community amongst its diverse student population.

What Sports are Offered and When do Seasons Start? 

SOCCER season gets rolling during the fall in September, right after Labor Day and is played on the Cooper campus field located behind the Oswald building.

Who is Eligible to Participate?

Current BCTC students, faculty/staff, both male and female, are eligible to participate in BCTC Intramural Sports. All participants must complete the registration process by the posted deadline.

What is the Skill Level of the Participants?  

Participants have a variety of skill levels ranging from novice to experienced. All levels are welcomed. Healthy recreational competition and sportsmanship are emphasized and encouraged.

How are Teams Formed? 

Participants have the option to form their own team, join a team, or be placed on a team by the intramural director.  If there are not enough participants to make separate male or female teams, COED teams will be formed.

How Do I Sign Up to Play?

To register to play intramural sports you must:
  • Be a current BCTC student or employee 
  • Submit completed Intramural Participant Registration Form
  • Submit a copy of current BCTC class schedule or employee ID to registration 
  • Pay a $15 non-refundable participation fee
