Child receiving dental careThe Bluegrass Community & Technical College (BCTC) Dental Hygiene Program students and professionals will be offering free dental care to children during the Give Kids A Smile event Apr. 1-3, at the Cooper Campus.

Children ages 4-12 are eligible to receive FREE dental cleanings, kindergarten screenings, dental supplies, x-rays, exams and fluoride treatments. Participants will also enjoy face painting, balloons and visits by the tooth fairy.

“This event is spearheaded by the Student American Dental Hygienists’ Association. Our students work hard to solicit donations and decorate the clinic especially for children,” said Janella Spencer, professor of dental hygiene. “It is always a fun time for the students and children alike.”

BCTC’s Cooper Campus is located at 470 Cooper Drive, Lexington, and parking in the BCTC lot is free for the event with a pass to accompany your appointment. To schedule an appointment, call 859.246.6857. Appointments fill quickly, so call today to reserve your spot.
