LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 29, 2010) The office of Educational Talent Search at Bluegrass Community and Technical College will host a donation drive for gently used professional clothing to assist students who do not have resources to buy clothing for job interviews.

A clothing drive for Suited for Success will be held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3 in Room 122 at the Regency Campus, 2659 Regency Road, Lexington. Donations can include business suits, dress slacks for men and women, mens dress shirts, khakis for men and women, skirts, blouses, and shoes.

Suited for Success is a new initiative started by the BCTC office of Educational Talent Search, a federal TRIO program that assists low-income students. Other TRIO programs at BCTC are Upward Bound and Student Support Services.

The Suited for Success clothing center will be open by appointment for BCTC students and for participants in the TRIO programs.

We are trying help students make the best first impression they can make, and that is why this is important to us, said Dikiea Elery, an educational advisor for Educational Talent Search.
