MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TO COMPETE IN 2009 KENTUCKY SCIENCE REGIONAL OLYMPIAD
LEXINGTON, KY (March 5, 2009) Regional middle and high school students will compete in the 2009 Kentucky Science Regional Olympiad being held Saturday, March 7 at Bluegrass Community amp; Technical College (BCTC) Cooper Campus, 470 Cooper Drive, Lexington.
Students will compete in several areas, including astronomy, biology, chemistry, engineering, earth sciences, physics and math. The public is invited to view the Regional Science Olympiad being held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Awards ceremony will be held 3:30 p.m.
Regional student winners advance to the State Science Olympiad being held April 26 at Western Kentucky University. State winners will advance to the National Tournament being held May 15-16 in Augusta, Ga.
