LEXINGTON, Ky. (November 9, 2017) —The Winchester-Clark County Campus of Bluegrass Community and photo of bctc winchester campusTechnology College (BCTC) won gold in the Best College, Best Family Outing, Best Places to Work, and Best Daycare categories in the Winchester Sun’s 2017 Reader’s Choice Awards.

Voting was held on over 100 different categories from September 23 – October 17, by readers of the Winchester Sun, a daily newspaper based in Winchester, and the winners were announced on October 31.

“We are honored to be recognized by our community in this way. With quality academics for our students, great benefits for our employees, and on-site 4-star rated childcare for our children, BCTC is an opportunity like none other for the Winchester-Clark County area,” said Campus Director Bruce Manley.

BCTC won gold in the Best Family Outing category because of its summertime “Moonlight Movie Nights,” which included showing popular family movies at its amphitheater, along with providing games, refreshments and entertainment for free. Moonlight Movie Nights also placed bronze in the Best Community Festival category.

“It continues to amaze me at how much the community loves and supports Moonlight Movie Nights,” said Manley. “This past summer over 2,000 people attended the ReadiFest and Movie Night partnership with Clark County Public Schools. From inflatable slides, food trucks, vendor booths, singing competitions, and ballet performances, we have fun covered for the entire family.”
