Healthcare Careers Exploration Camp

Incoming Freshman and Sophomore high school students

 

Come meet healthcare professionals and explore a range of healthcare careers.

  • Take part in hands-on learning activities in our state-of-the-art simulation labs
  • Gain an understanding of the variety of healthcare career options
  • Expect a variety of different learning opportunities, including lectures, fun group activities, interactive learning experiences, and hands-on simulation activities

Healthcare Skill-Building Camp

Incoming Junior and Senior high school students

 

Come to campus & learn skills essential to first-year success in a healthcare program

  • Experience hands-on learning in state-of-the-art science and simulation labs
  • Experience an introductory college-level lecture class
  • Learn how to manage a college-level reading load
  • Learn organization, note-taking, and test-prep strategies

*Breakfast, lunch, & snacks are provided

Yes. No applications will be accepted after March 31, 2026. We must keep to this deadline to ensure the academies run as smoothly as possible.

Every application is accepted until we hit our capacity at each campus. If you apply after we are at capacity, we will contact you directly.

No, the academy is completely free to attendees.

Yes, but the person driving must be listed on your checkout sheet.

Transportation is available upon request. Please let us know as soon as possible if this is something you may need so we can get that set up for you.

Transportation is not door-to-door. Shuttle stops will be set up and a list emailed to those who requested Transportation Assistance.

No, please list your allergies and dietary restrictions on the Microsoft Forms and we will make accommodations.

Absolutely! We have fridges and are able to store your lunch if you bring your own.

Each student will attend the campus they elected when filling out the application.

The week you attend is determined by the grade you are entering in the Fall of 2025.

  • Incoming Freshmen and Sophomores attend June 1-5, 2026
  • Incoming Juniors and Seniors attend June 8-12, 2026

Casual professional attire will be enforced. Closed toed shoes must be worn on lab days, no long jewelry, hair must be pulled up on lab days, no profanity, no spaghetti straps, if you choose to wear shorts, they must be within fingertip length.

Yes. You will still need to complete and submit an application by the deadline.

Not to worry, you can fill out all forms at Parent/Guardian Orientation.

Yes. Additional forms will need to be filled out at Parent Orientation.

Yes. Students may not attend the academy unless parents have attended orientation or met 1-on-1 with camp leaders.
