A Journey Through Time

Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC) proudly kicked off its 85-year celebration during Convocation,
with an impressive gathering of over 400 faculty and staff, Board of Directors, and student leaders.
This milestone marks a significant journey from its origins in 1939 to its current role as a pivotal educational institution in the Bluegrass Region.

In the 2024-25 academic year, we at Bluegrass Community and Technical College will be celebrating our journey of learning and growth. This year-long festivity will be a tribute to the innovative strides we've taken since our establishment back in 1939.

As we celebrate our 85th year, we're excited to reconnect with the many faces that have been part of our journey, reminiscing about the countless ways we've been able to contribute to individual lives and our community.

We welcome you to delve into our rich history, upcoming events and discover various opportunities to engage during this landmark year and beyond!

This anniversary is more than a reflection on our history; it’s a tribute to the countless lives we’ve impacted and the vibrant community we created together.

Since our start in 1939, we have been dedicated to providing accessible, high-quality education and training to students from all walks of life. Over the decades, we evolved to meet the changing needs of our community, offering innovative programs, diverse courses, customized training, and a supportive environment where everyone can thrive.

As we celebrate this anniversary, we invite you to join us in honoring the rich history of our college and looking forward to the future. Please check back often, as we’ll be hosting a series of events throughout the year.

We are proud of our achievements and are immensely grateful to our faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community partners who continue to contribute to our success.
