Course Enrollment Request

If you are registering for a course with a prerequisite, you must provide proof of meeting the prerequisite from your transfer or home institution (Example: transcripts, grades or test scores).

Please email proof of the prerequisite to Bluegrass-StudentRecords@kctcs.edu. If you are attempting to register for a English or Math course you must also meet the placement requirements. Course prerequisite and mandatory placement information is located in the online BCTC Catalog (same info from the letter).

Student Self Service (PeopleSoft) prevents students from enrolling in courses for which they do not meet the prerequisites. Often, transfer and readmit students meet course prerequisites that Student Self Service does not recognize, and students will encounter this error. If this is the case, use the Course Enrollment Forms request enrollment in a course.

Do NOT submit a course enrollment request if you do not meet the required prerequisite.

To enroll in Math Co-Requisites courses, Calculus courses, or any other mathematics or statistics courses beginning with the prefixes MA, MAT or STA, complete the online Math/Stats Course Enrollment Request form.

To enroll in a RDG 100 or ENG 100 Co-Requisite course, complete the online form.

Complete this form for all other enrollment requests (new window).

After classes have started, a student may self-select to drop back to a lower-level math course for a limited time without financial or academic penalties. To get more information and initiate the dropback process, complete the Dropback Request Form.
