BCTC names Dr. Wendy Bolt Dean of Academic Affairs

LEXINGTON, KY - Bluegrass Community and Technical College is pleased to announce Dr. Wendy Bolt will serve as the Dean of Academic Affairs, leading dual credit, K-12 partnerships, the BCTC Testing Center, BCTC Adult Education, online learning and the Teaching and Learning Center.

"We are thrilled Dr. Bolt will bring her vast expertise to lead these critical areas of the college," said Dr. Greg Feeney, BCTC Provost. "She is a proven leader with student success at the heart of her work."

Dr. Bolt has served students in higher education for 27 years, bringing experience from six institutions leading counseling, advising and assessment, retention and student success, and enrollment and student development. Most recently, she served as Associate Dean of Student Success at BCTC.

Dr. Bolt holds an EdD. in Educational Policy Studies and Evaluation from the University of Kentucky and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Radford University, Radford Virginia.

"I am honored and excited to join the outstanding faculty and staff at BCTC as we continue to offer exceptional instructional opportunities and intentional supports to current and future BCTC students," said Dr. Bolt, "It is a privilege to work with students in the Bluegrass Region as they achieve their educational goals."

Dr. Bolt will begin her new position July 15,2022.
