Rotary Scholarship to support local students interested in participating in the inaugural offering of the Phlebotomy program on BCTC's campus

LEXINGTON, KY – The Rotary Club of Lawrenceburg Kentucky has awarded Anderson County High School senior Emma James a scholarship to attend the Phlebotomy program on Bluegrass Community and Technical College’s Lawrenceburg campus.

“The Rotary Club of Lawrenceburg is dedicated to ensuring the continued education and advancement of students in our community and in supporting our local Bluegrass Community and Technical College campus.” says Lawrenceburg Rotary President, Ashley Nesbitt.

The BCTC Phlebotomy program prepares the student as an integral member of the healthcare team to collect blood from patients/donors in hospitals, blood banks or clinics for analysis or other medical purposes. Includes standard precautions, record keeping, and therapeutic communication skills.
