“It was such an honor to represent our program at the Prix Together for Racing International Finale,” said Dixie Kendall, BCTC Equine Program Coordinator. “As the only racing academy in the United States, it seemed fitting that we were in France at the same time as the Olympics to represent our country in an international competition. Austin was an exemplary representative of the program from start to finish. I am so incredibly proud of this young man’s accomplishments,” said Kendall.
“This is a remarkable accomplishment for Austin,” said Dr. Greg Feeney, BCTC President/CEO. “The vital support from the Equine faculty has significantly contributed to Austin's training and skill development. BCTC’s commitment to offering professional training in the horse industry is a testament to the rewards that come from our Equine program and is reflected in Austin’s success. We are immensely proud of him.”
The race is hosted by AFASEC (France’s national horse racing school) and the French racing authority France Galop.
The annual season-ending championship race features apprentice jockeys who have graduated from racing schools from around the World including, France, Ireland, Germany, England, USA, Italy, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain among others.
