The NAREB of Central Kentucky concludes Realtist Week by hosting A Wealth Summit at BCTC

Central Kentucky NAREB logo on a blue northern hemisphere backgroundLexington, KY – Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC) is pleased to announce the celebration of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB)from April 8th to April 13th. The organization will host a series of events and activities aimed at fostering inclusivity, education, and professional growth. 

NAREB was founded in 1947 at a time when black real estate professionals were not allowed to be part of the local boards of the National Association of Realtors. Since then, NAREB has worked to combat discrimination in housing by helping to pass legislation that advances civil rights in this country.  The mission of NAREB of Central Kentucky is to solidify a community of black real estate professionals in Central Kentucky who are committed to elevating one another and amplifying our collective voice to better represent the community we serve as we strive to meet the NAREB National goal of Democracy in Housing.

The members of NAREB of Central Kentucky will host their final event of the week at BCTC Leestown Campus, 164 Opportunity Way, Saturday, April 13 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The Wealth Summit – Building Black Wealth will be a day of breakout sessions, and an amazing opportunity to hear a keynote speech from Phil Wilkins, head of Community Engagement of Modivcare. All real estate professionals, community leaders, and aspiring homeowners alike are encouraged to attend. 

As advocates for diversity and equality in real estate, NAREB of Central Kentucky is committed to creating a more inclusive and equitable industry landscape.
