Bluegrass Gives to Support Local Dual Credit Scholarships for Winchester-Clark County Students
Published on Nov 25, 2025
Winchester, KY – Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC) is excited to announce its participation
in Bluegrass Gives (formerly known as The Good Giving Challenge), taking place on
Tuesday, December 2, from 6:00 a.m. until midnight.
Funds raised through the Bluegrass Community Foundation will directly support scholarships for Dual Credit students in Winchester-Clark County, helping high school students earn college credit and often even an associate degree before graduation.
“Each year, we see more and more high school students getting a head start on their college journey through BCTC’s Dual Credit program,” said Dr. Greg Feeney, BCTC President/CEO. “Bluegrass Gives helps us ensure that every student, regardless of financial circumstance, can access these life-changing opportunities and begin building their future today.”
Through Dual Credit, students save thousands of dollars compared to in-state university tuition, accelerating their path toward a degree and reducing the burden of student debt. The BCTC Winchester-Clark County Campus is committed to expanding access even further through scholarships supported by this annual giving campaign.
“The impact of these scholarships is tremendous,” said Sheldon Sharpe, Campus Director of the Winchester/Clark County Campus. “They remove financial barriers, empower students to pursue higher education sooner, and create lasting change for families right here in our community.”
