The event offers free dental services to children aged 3-12, including exams, cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, and x-rays. Appointments can be scheduled by calling (859) 246-6857 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Come and enjoy the fun space theme to include interactive activities for kids before and after their appointment time.

“We are thrilled to offer this important service to the community and give children the opportunity to receive top-quality dental care,” said Mary Jones, Program Coordinator for BCTC’s Dental Hygiene Program. “This event not only benefits children, but it provides a great hands-on experience for our students, allowing them to directly apply their skills in a real-world setting under the supervision of experienced professionals.”

This year's event takes place in the newly opened building, which is home to BCTC’s Dental Hygiene program that began its spring semester in the new facility. The program prepares students for careers as dental hygienists, offering comprehensive educational experiences through lectures, clinicals, and related studies.

Dr. Greg Feeney, BCTC President/CEO, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "The Give Kids a Smile event showcases the commitment of our Dental Hygiene Program to both education and community service. Our students gain invaluable clinical experience, while also making a positive impact on the health and well-being of local children. We're proud to be a part of such a meaningful initiative."

The BCTC Dental Hygiene program equips students with the necessary skills and knowledge to become licensed dental hygienists. Graduates are eligible to take national and regional licensing examinations, and may find employment in dentist offices, clinics, dental schools, public health agencies, industry, and educational institutions.
