BCTC’s Georgetown Campus Director appointed as President of the Georgetown/Scott County Chamber of Commerce

Georgetown, KY – Lynn Godsey, Director of Bluegrass Community and Technical College’s (BCTC) Georgetown Campus, has been named the new President of the Georgetown/Scott County Chamber of Commerce, effective January 2025.

The Georgetown/Scott County Chamber of Commerce is a volunteer-driven organization that brings together businesses, educators, and professionals to foster growth and development across the community’s business, financial, civic, and industrial sectors. The Board of Directors appointed Godsey to lead the organization starting in the new year.

Godsey, who joined BCTC in 2018, serves as the Campus Director for the Georgetown-Scott County campus, overseeing daily operations and the state-of-the-art Advanced Manufacturing Center. Her experience in building strong community partnerships aligns well with the Chamber’s mission and goals.

“On behalf of the entire college community, we are thrilled to congratulate Ms. Godsey on being named the President of the Georgetown/Scott County Chamber,” said Dr. Greg Feeney, BCTC President/CEO.  “This recognition is a testament to her dedication, leadership, and commitment to both our institution and the broader community. We look forward to seeing the continued impact she will have in fostering growth and collaboration between education, business, and civic leaders in our region,”  Feeney added.

I am proud of what we’ve achieved at the Georgetown campus, and this new role will allow me to further contribute to the continued growth and success of both our community and BCTC.”
