Savannah Michaels Named Campus Director of BCTC Lawrenceburg

Savannah MichaelsLawrenceburg, KY – Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC) is proud to announce that Savannah Michaels has been appointed as the new Campus Director of the Lawrenceburg Campus, effective August 1, 2025.

Michaels brings a wealth of experience and a proven commitment to student success, academic excellence, and community engagement. She has been serving as Acting Campus Director since March 2025 and currently holds the position of Associate Dean of Student Success/Academic Advising at BCTC.

In her new role, Michaels will oversee campus operations, support faculty and staff, and serve as a vital connection to local industry and education partners. She will also continue to champion student-centered programming and dual-credit opportunities through Bluegrass College Academy.

Michaels is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Leadership with a concentration in Instructional Technology at the University of the Cumberlands. She holds a Master of Arts in Higher and Adult Education from Morehead State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Transylvania University, where she also minored in Educational Studies.

She began her BCTC career in 2018 and has held numerous leadership positions across student services and academic advising, where her innovative approaches and collaborative spirit have helped drive enrollment, retention, and student satisfaction.

Michaels has been a driving force behind several college-wide initiatives, including professional development programs, student advising innovations, and international partnerships. She has also played a key role in the college’s SACSCOC accreditation efforts and served as a principal investigator on the Goodwill Ignite Grant.

Her leadership in Lawrenceburg will help further BCTC’s mission of providing accessible, high-quality education and strengthening workforce development in Anderson County and the surrounding region.
