This year's event is expected to set records with 26 participating teams and a record number of sponsors, demonstrating the strong commitment of BCTC's business, industry and civic partners to the success of Central Kentucky students.

Breakfast will begin at 8:00 a.m., followed by a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start.

Proceeds from the event will directly support the BCTC Foundation's Greatest Student Needs Fund that supports student emergency needs, which provide critical assistance to students facing unexpected financial challenges that could otherwise prevent them from completing their education.

Participants in the Golf Scramble include BCTC's local business and industry partners, along with key civic organizations that share the College's commitment to strengthening the region's workforce and creating opportunities for students.

"This year's record participation is a reflection of the relationship BCTC has built with businesses, industries, and civic organizations throughout our communities," said Dr. Greg Feeney, BCTC Chancellor. "Our partners understand that when we help students overcome barriers and complete their education, we are not only changing individual lives but also strengthening the workforce and communities we all call home. Their continued investment in our students is a powerful demonstration of what can happen when education and community come together with a shared purpose. Events like this also remind us that supporting an important cause can be both meaningful and fun, bringing people together to celebrate student success while making a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve."

The funds raised through the event are especially important as BCTC works to ensure students have the support they need to remain enrolled, complete their programs and successfully transition into the workforce.

"Continued support from our community partners is essential to helping BCTC students reach their educational and career goals," said Dr. Erin Tipton, Vice Chancellor of Advancement and Workforce Development and Executive Director of the BCTC Foundation. "Students can face unexpected challenges that have nothing to do with their ability or desire to succeed. The resources provided through the Foundation's Greatest Student Needs allow us to respond to those challenges and help students stay on track. Ultimately, that support helps more students earn their credentials, enter the workforce and contribute to the economic vitality of our region."

The BCTC Foundation Golf Scramble is an opportunity for community partners to come together in support of a shared mission: helping students succeed and preparing a skilled workforce for the communities BCTC serves.

The record number of teams and sponsors participating in this year's event reflects the growing recognition among employers and community leaders that investing in BCTC students is an investment in the future of the region.
