The event will allow students to explore career pathways connected to the U.S. Navy, meet nationally ranked sailors, and engage directly with Navy representatives to learn about leadership, technology, and global service opportunities. Attendees will also enjoy a complimentary breakfast while interacting with Navy personnel and hearing firsthand about their experiences.

“Bluegrass Community and Technical College is proud to welcome Navy Week to our campus and to host this special event in Lexington,” said Dr. Greg Feeney, President and CEO of BCTC. “This is a tremendous opportunity for our students to connect with outstanding sailors and explore meaningful career pathways that serve our nation. Partnerships like this expand our students’ awareness of the many ways they can apply their education and talents while making a difference in the world.”

The Navy Week program serves as the U.S. Navy’s principal outreach effort to regions of the country without a significant Navy presence. Since its inception, the program has hosted more than 300 Navy Weeks in 95 U.S. cities, connecting Americans with the men and women who serve in the Navy and highlighting the critical role the Navy plays in national security.

Navy Weeks bring together outreach assets, equipment, and Navy personnel in a single city for a week-long series of events designed to engage local communities. Throughout the week, 75 to 100 outreach events typically take place in partnership with corporate, civic, government, education, media, veteran, and community service organizations.

The program aims to provide Americans with a deeper understanding of how the Navy operates around the world, around the clock, and why maintaining a strong Navy is vital to protecting the American way of life.

Students, faculty, staff, and community members are invited to attend the event and learn more about the wide range of professional opportunities available through Navy service.
