BCTC-NARAs Dixie Hayes Will Serve Second Term as Secretary for the Kentucky Horse Council

The Kentucky Horse Council has elected the 2016 slate of officers and directors at its board meeting at the Rood amp; Riddle Conference Center in Lexington, KY. Dixie Hayes, program coordinator and lead instructor for Equine Studies at BCTC-NARA, will serve her second term as secretary for the Council.

A graduate of Equine Studies from Midway College, Hayes background includes stints as an assistant farm manager at Linhaven Farm in Versailles, and assistant manager of the Hall of Champions at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington. She began working at NARA in 2011 and founded the Horsemans Pathway Program, which teaches students such things as training, sales prep, bloodstock and conformation, and management of horses and farms.

The Kentucky Horse Council, a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection and development of the Kentucky equine community, provides educational programs and information to Kentucky horse owners and enthusiasts, along with other assistance.
