BCTC selects campus directors for Danville and Winchester-Clark County campuses
Bluegrass Community and Technical College recently named Bruce Manley as Winchester-Clark County Campus Director and Erin Tipton as Danville Campus Director. Both started their new positions in November. Manley had worked as an associate registrar at the University of Kentucky and Tipton had served as the BCTC Associate Dean of Student Services Outreach.
Manley plans to increase the courses and programs being offered at the Winchester-Clark County Campus, provide more technical and educational training for area businesses and boost enrollment of high school students in dual credit courses. Manley also works directly with students and potential students, including advising, giving campus tours and teaching classes. The Winchester-Clark County Campus, located at 2020 Rollings Hills Lane in Winchester, has an estimated enrollment of 716 students.
Manley and his wife, Lisa, have lived in Winchester for the past six years. They have two young daughters.
As Danville Campus Director, Tipton plans to increase dual-credit classes for high school students and expand training programs that meet the needs of Danville businesses and industries. In addition, Tipton sees the potential to construct a second building at the Danville Campus to accommodate the rapid enrollment growth. The Danville Campus, located at 59 Corporate Drive in Danville, has an estimated fall 2009 enrollment of 1,502 students, an 11 percent growth from last year.
Tipton has lived in Danville since 1996 with her husband, Christian Tipton, and their two children, Ryan Alexander and Lauren Tipton. Erin Tipton is the daughter of Tom and Pat Van Orden, who have lived in Danville since 1993.
