BCTC Workforce Solutions, Manager Receive Award for Supply Chain Advancement
Bluegrass Community and Technical College recently received two prestigious awards. The Bluegrass Chapter of APICS, The Association of Operations Management, chose Ted F. Nicholson, project manager, BCTC Workforce Solutions, as Individual of the Year and BCTC's Workforce Solutions program as its Organization of the Year for the fiscal year 2012. The chapter gives these awards to the individual member and the organization that have provided leadership and partnership in advancing the art and science of supply chain in the central Kentucky area.
The chapter is pleased to recognize Ted and the BCTC organization for their hard work and dedication. Through a partnership that has been forged with BCTC, and personally driven by Ted, our APICS Chapter has been able to offer training to a number of local organizations from Cynthiana to Danville, from Lexington to Pikeville. Through partnerships such as this growing one, central Kentucky strengthens its workforce and its competitiveness in today's challenging supply chain market. We thank Ted and BCTC for their dedication to improving education and training in central Kentucky, and look forward to our continued and growing partnership, said Gary Jones, Bluegrass APICS Chapter president.
BCTC's Workforce Solutions provides a comprehensive approach to continuing education, employee services and assessment that addresses the needs of businesses and organizations. The services found at Workforce Solutions can be tailored to the specific needs of an individual organization and can be offered in various formats for convenience.
Partnerships such as the one with APICS are just one way BCTC fulfills its mission to up-skill the incumbent workforce of Kentucky. Developing those partnerships would not happen without the diligent work of dedicated employees like Mr. Nicholson. That dedication allows us to improve the quality of life in our community, said Mark Manuel, Vice President of BCTC.
