Fourth Annual Peace and Global Citizenship Fair Focuses on Self-Reliance
LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 14, 2009) The fourth annual Peace and Global Citizenship Fair, hosted by Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC), will be held Saturday, May 16 at BCTC's Cooper Campus (next to Commonwealth Stadium), 470 Cooper Drive in Lexington. The event will feature activities and booths that focus on individual and community self-reliance. Energy conservation workshops start at 9:30 a.m. The fair opens at noon.
Learn about beekeeping, quilting, jewelry making, sewing, organic gardening techniques, and songwriting. Participate in henna painting, games, recycled golf, and art. Enjoy live music, poetry, plays, puppet shows, and locally grown food.
