Ms. Fix-It Fair to teach women home repair and gardening skills
LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 29, 2010) The Bluegrass chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) will hold its fourth annual Ms. Fix-It Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 24 at the Cooper Campus of Bluegrass Community and Technical College, 470 Cooper Drive, Lexington. The Ms. Fix-It Fair specializes in teaching women home and garden repair and improvement.
The workshop draws from the experience and skills of NAWIC members and affiliates who will conduct the workshops and hands-on demonstrations.
The all-day workshop will offer beginner through advanced classes that include home maintenance, remodeling, decorating, weatherization, gardening, and drywall repair. Door prizes will be given away and refreshments will be available for purchase.
Tickets are $15 and may be purchased at the door with cash or check only. A complete list of classes and more information about the event is available online at www.bgnawic.org
