Register Now for 2nd Women in Computing Conference at BCTC

The second Kentucky Community Colleges Women in Computing (KYCC-WiC) conference will be held April 10 and 11 at the Newtown Campus of Bluegrass Community and Technical College in Lexington, Ky. KYCC-WiC is a regional Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing (GHC), a conference dedicated to supporting and encouraging women in computing fields.

KYCC-WiC is the only GHC dedicated to community colleges. All KCTCS faculty, staff, and students are invited to attend. The conference will have keynote speakers from Microsoft Research and the Association of Computing Machinery Committee on Women (ACM-W).

Students who attend KYCC-WiC have an outstanding opportunity to win a trip to the national Grace Hopper Celebration in Houston, TX on October 14-16, the largest gathering of women technologists. Interested students should enter the KYCC-WiC student poster contest. Details about the contest can be found at the conference website:http://kycc-wic.com/.

Early bird registration, including food, registration, and hotel for those traveling, will be available through March 9. Early bird registration for faculty is $30 and $15 for students. After March 9, registration costs will be $50 for faculty and $30 for students.
