Organization Description

A student organization open to all students that have an interest in the culture, language and history of Latin America. The club's purpose is to celebrate the rich culture of Latin America as well as the influences of the Hispanic/Latino culture in the United States.

The Latino Student Union (LSU) at BCTC is open to all students is dedicated to fostering a supportive and welcoming environment for all BCTC students. Our mission is to build a strong community within the college, offering resources that aid in academic success and help students stay on track for their educational goals, whether that means earning a degree, transferring, or pursuing further studies. We assist in finding scholarships and provide opportunities for volunteer work, professional skill development, and career planning. As a student-driven organization, LSU thrives on ideas and events created by our members, ensuring that every initiative reflects the needs and interests of our community. Most importantly, LSU offers a space where students can celebrate heritage, share cultural experiences, and find a sense of home within the college.
