Housing

Eligible BCTC students can apply for housing through the University of Kentucky (UK). Students must be enrolled full-time (12 credit hours or more) in either a 16-week session, 12-week session, or a 1st 8-week and 2nd 8-week session (provided, however, that the student has at least one class during the entire 16 weeks) and with 50% of classes on-site at a Cooper, Newtown, Leestown, or Winchester campus.

BCTC students pay the standard housing and dining rates. Students living in housing are required to pay UK Student Fees in addition to BCTC student fees and also must select a dining plan. For more information on housing rates, please visit UK Campus Housing Rates and on dining rates, please visit UK Dining BCTC Commuter and On Campus Plans Fall 2022.

Housing is not guaranteed and available on a first come, first served basis. Students must apply to BCTC before applying for housing. Students will need to create a linkblue account. Once this account is created, students can access and submit the housing application. Please visit UK Campus Housing BCTC for detailed information on the application process.

Dining

BCTC students living in UK Campus Housing will select a meal plan when applying for housing as mentioned above.  However, BCTC students not living in UK Campus Housing can also view and purchase meal plans at UK Dining BCTC Commuter and On Campus Plans Fall 2022.  Once a plan is selected, the Dining Office will contact the student to setup payment for the plan.  There are plenty of dining options to choose from that can meet any need.  There is also a BCTC Create Your Own Block Plan that is available as well.

CatCash (Formerly Plus Account)

CatCash is an optional debit program for students and employees of the University of Kentucky and BCTC students who live in UK Campus Housing. CatCash is widely used on campus and off campus for food, bookstores, printing, copying, prescriptions, and much more. Students can now use their CatCash funds through Grubhub and receive Grubhub+ for free when they add the University of Kentucky as their campus on the app. Additional Services such as UK campus printing may only be accessed with a CatCash account.

A CatCash account is automatically opened under their UKID for those BCTC students living in UK Campus Housing.  For more information, please visit the CatCash website.

UK eStore

BCTC students enrolled in 6-11 credit hours with a home campus of Cooper are eligible to purchase UK Student Services. Online courses do not count toward eligibility requirements to purchase services.

If you live in UK Campus Housing during the fall or spring term, you do not need to purchase any of the available services for that term through the UK eStore. These fees will automatically be assessed by UK Housing.

Please note that eligibility is subject to change. For current eligibility requirements and a comprehensive list of available services with associated fees, please visit UK eStore Information.
