Phoenix - Students with Disabilities & Allies
Organization Description
The Phoenix Group empowers students by creating a renewed perception of people who are diagnosed with disabilities. Our students defy the preconceived notions and assumptions placed upon their impairments and limitations. They do so by coming together to make a positive impact on our campus community and finding ways to succeed in the classroom and out in the world.
Reflecting the values of BCTC Student Accessibility Services, The Phoenix Group promotes patience, kindness, and understanding; all necessary tools in fostering a judgment-free environment for our students. The Phoenix Group is open to all students and provides a welcoming space to have fun, make friends, and explore new experiences. Partnering with SGA and other campus organizations, we encourage creativity and cooperation.

Not every disability is visible to the naked eye
We inspire students to maximize their potential and make the most of their educational journey, while overcoming the obstacles and barriers created by their learning differences.
