BCTC is funded through a combination of state appropriations, federal and state grants, tuition and fees, and philanthropy. As public funds have decreased, private support for scholarships, programs, faculty development, and capital improvements is more important than ever.
Every year, Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC) makes higher education accessible and affordable for more than 18,000 students, including recent high school graduates, working professionals, and returning learners.
With a focus on associate degrees and certificate programs, as well as workforce development and continuing education, BCTC attracts students who plan to enter professions that are essential to Central Kentucky and beyond. Signature BCTC programs include nursing, dental hygiene, graphic design, film studies, and the North American Racing Academy that prepares equine professionals to serve as jockeys and racing officials.
